I. Project Background

This solution employs a vacuum double-cone rotary dryer to process the black powder material—containing electrolyte and volatile components—obtained from crushed lithium-ion batteries, with the aim of achieving “safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly” resource recovery. By integrating drying and solvent recovery into a single process, this solution addresses the challenges of electrolyte treatment and the generation of toxic gases associated with traditional methods.

II. Technical Solution

This solution utilizes low-temperature vacuum combined with dynamic rotary technology. The crushed material enters the double-cone tank, where hot water or thermal oil is circulated through the jacket for heating (temperature controlled between 80–140°C). During rotation, the equipment continuously agitates the material to prevent agglomeration and ensure uniform heating. Under the action of a vacuum pump, a high negative pressure is maintained inside the tank, lowering the boiling point of the electrolyte to enable efficient volatilization at low temperatures. This prevents the generation of toxic HF gas and oxide impurities that would occur at high temperatures.

III. Core System Configuration

Solvent Recovery System: The volatilized gas is deeply cooled via a two-stage condensation unit, achieving a recovery efficiency of over 95% and enabling the resourceful utilization of organic solvents.

Dust Collection System: Equipped with specially designed bag filters to prevent fine dust from being drawn into the vacuum system, thereby reducing material loss and preventing pipeline blockages.
