DRYING FOR PHARMACEUTICAL MATERIALS

Pharmaceutical Industry

QUANPIN provides drying and related powder processing equipment for pharmaceutical applications. Equipment configurations are developed around material characteristics, product quality requirements and the customer's manufacturing process.

Pharmaceutical Industry

Fermentation-Derived Materials

Broths, concentrates and separated biomass require different preparation and drying routes. Heat sensitivity and the need to preserve specific product characteristics influence the assessment.

Botanical and TCM Extracts

Extract composition, viscosity and adhesion affect atomization, wall deposition and recovery. Dedicated extract spray drying configurations are evaluated around the actual feed and required powder.

Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients

Drying route selection considers solvent removal, thermal sensitivity, particle characteristics and handling exposure. The process and equipment specification must reflect the properties of the individual API.

Project Documentation and Verification

Cleaning requirements, product contact materials, control functions and documentation are defined in the project specification. Qualification and process validation remain part of the customer's pharmaceutical quality system.

Material-Specific Equipment Selection

Suitable liquid feeds may be evaluated for spray drying, while vacuum or other drying routes may be considered for appropriate sensitive solids. Solvent characteristics, containment and cleaning requirements are reviewed within the project specification.
